Our first guests in April 06 were Denis Barbezat Jean-Luc Bourbon, both from France. They caught an assortment of fish to include Roosterfish, Amberjack, Pompano, Snappers and yellow-fin Tuna. Our French guests were followed by Gordon Brauninger and Jim McCord from Stewart, FL. They caught Roosterfish, rock hind grouper, broomtail grouper and gray grouper in addition to many varieties of snapper, amberjack and tuna. Our third group included Jim Tryon, Caroline Carpenter and Russ Boeder. They caught several Roosterfish, Snappers and Jacks along with lots of larger yellow-fin Tuna in the 25-35 pound range on popper. Bill Kennedy along with sons Bill, Brian & Pat, all from California, were our fourth guests in April. Their first day was very good with lots of baits and lots of hook-ups on live bait. Their following days were slower but they did manage to catch some more big game fish to include an 80 pound amberjack on a trolled Rapala. Our final guests in April were Garry Dovenberg, Ken Zawacki, Steve Bonovich and Don Huey. The bite was very good for jigging, trolling and popping Yellow-fin Tuna but very slow for live baits. Along with tuna, they did catch and release several Roosterfish, one we estimate over 80 pounds. On our slowest day, Gary caught and released a Black Marlin about 300 pounds.
