Billy Boughner (Bones) & Alex made a quick trip out in late November to soak live sardines in our favorite beaner hole. They caught several nice Corbinas in the 20 pound range. Hank Doris and father Sonny from Austin, Texas, took their first fishing vacation in Panama, during the second week of December 2004. The weather and sea conditions were excellent and the water was very clear.  Baits were plentiful and easy to catch but not very productive. Hank caught a nice Amberjack and Cubera Snapper on live bait. There were several strikes but most baits went untouched. Hank popped up a bunch of Snappers, Jacks and one large sailfish on popper and hooked up on several Trevally and a Cero Mackerel. Wahoo were active for a short time after the high tide switch and were hooked up on red and white Rapala CD-14 Mags.

Charlie Johnston from Ft Lauderdale, Mike Towns from Stuart, Bob Smith and father Bill from Pompano Beach, Florida, fished with Tom & Alex in mid-December 2004. This was Charlie's eight and Bob's fourth visit to the lodge. They caught Cubera Snappers, Amberjacks, Blue-fin Trevally, Cero Mackerel, Wahoo, Dorado and lots of small Yellow-fin Tuna.

Rick & Ryan Williams from Tallahassee, Fl. went fishing and diving for two days just before Christmas. This was their second December stay at the lodge. They hooked up several Wahoo and Ryan landed the one shown below. They also caught lots of Yellow-fin Tuna and Ryan speared a 45 pound Amberjack.

Alex's sister Terri, husband Ed Helkenn, son & daughter-in-law, Gene & Tammy Leves along with grandkids Wesley, Darien, Wyatt, & Dallas visited Alex at the lodge for the holidays. Ed jigged up the 30 pound Christmas Corbina shown below. More about their trip to Panama will follow.......

New Years Eve, Alex took Clarice Lopez fishing for her first time and her first ever catch was a 15 pound Crimson Snapper.
