Our first guests in December 2006 were Stan Hootman, Bill Whipple and James Powell, all from Texas. The fish bite started out good but diminished during their visit. Their catch included Wahoo, Cubera Snapper, Rainbow Runner, Blue-fin Trevally, Yellow-fin Tuna and Colorado Snapper. Also fishing a day in the first week of Dec was Keith Lam from Coronado Beach, Panama along with his father and friends from Hong Kong. The fish bite that day was good with lots of aggressive Cubera Snappers, Yellow-fin Tuna and Colorado Snappers. Steve Lachenauer, Dan Terry and his son Dan, all from California, fished with us in the second week of December. The waters were thick with Dorado and Colorado Snappers. They also caught Amberjack, Cubera Snapper and a Black Marlin by accident about 350 pounds. Unfortunately, the Marlin did not survive the 2 hour fight. On 16 Dec, Tom's Niece & Nephew, Stephanie & Clay went fishing with Tom for about an hour while Tom was trying out some new propellers on the Magoo. They caught several Yellow-fin Tuna and had a triple Wahoo hook-up with one being landed by Clay. Jim Tryon from California was our last fishing guest for 2006. Jim also caught by accident, a Black Marlin, about the same size as the prior catch earlier in the month. We made a futile attempt to revive and release the fish but it didn't survive the fight, so it also came aboard the Magoo. We have concluded that big fish on light tackle is not good for the fish.
