John Ford and party of three went fishing with Tom & Alex off Punta Mariato, Panama during the first week in Feb 2003. Ron McClelland visited Rio Negro with a party of eight the week of 7 Feb 2003. Included in Ron's party were Ed and Butch Toth, Tony Barcia (Stun and Release) Charlie Blackwell (Popeye) Lenny Fantasia, Ed Boyce and Bruce Rohrmann. The near shore fishing during the first week for John's party was excellent for Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper and Trevally. The near shore fishing during the second week slowed for Ron's party so they did a combination of near shore and offshore fishing throughout the week. Their catch included, Broomtail Grouper, Cubera Snapper, Amberjack, Roosterfish, Yellow-fin Tuna, Trevally and Wahoo.
Vince Ward visited Rio Negro and fished 25-27 Feb 2003. Joining Vince was his father Herman, M.Antoine Louis Jacques, and Charlie Zieth and Michael Carter. This was Vince and Herman's third visit and Charlie's second. Near shore fishing was mostly slow. Michael Carter caught and released a very nice Pacific Sailfish.
