Alex Livingston and Tom Giles hosted a total of three fishing parties during the month of Feb 2004. Jimmy Ricciardi and Sean McAuliffe from Boylston Ma. accompanied by Jon & Dave, visited during the first week in February.  This was Jimmy & Sean's second fishing vacation in Panama and the lodge. Unusual for February in this area of Panama, conditions were perfect for offshore fishing and targeting Sailfish, Dorado and Wahoo. They raised, hooked up and lost many sailfish. Their catch included lots of Dorado, Tuna, Wahoo and Cero Mackerel. The group picture is of Rasta man Alex serving Sean coffee in formal attire after loosing on a bet. Vince and Herman Ward from Arizona fished with us just before Panama's Carnival 2004. This was Vince and Herman's fifth fishing vacation at the lodge. Their target fish and predominate catch was Cubera Snapper, hooked up on live bait, top water trolling lures, and diamond jigs. Finally, Marvin Wright fished with us again at the end of February and beginning of March. On Marvin's first day, Alex and Marvin stumbled across and new fishing honey hole, near shore, very close to the Rio Negro on their way to go offshore fishing. After test fishing the new spot, they never left. During Marvin's visit, the catch included a total of 92 Silver Corvina, 7 Broomtail Grouper, 8 Rockhind Grouper, 14 Jorden and Spot Snapper. On Marvin's forth day while out with Alex and Billy Boughner, (Bones), Alex hooked up a big sailfish on a homemade popper about 6 feet from the boat. Alex fought the Sailfish while Marvin and Bones poised to exit the boat, expecting the Sailfish to join them in the boat on it's first leap. Fortunately for Marvin and Bones, Alex lost the fish soon after the hookup. The final picture is of Alex with a large Snook that he caught at the shrimp farm nearby.
