Chris, Jim & Joe Wills along with Ron Giannini, all from New York, were our first guests for March 2006. The bite started very good near Isla Cebaco for Big Broomtail Grouper and Cubera Snapper but slowed the third day so they fished off the final day near Punta Mariato and caught lots of Amberjack and Roosterfish. They took home plenty of Amberjack and Grouper fillets, the Cubera Snappers and Roosterfish were released. Dan Stiehl, Gary Krenz, John Larson & Tom Rufledt, all from Wisconsin, were our second group of anglers in March. Fishing activity near shore was very slow so we ventured off shore. The first day there was a moderate on shore breeze and the water was clear blue, close in. Their first day's catch included 12 Wahoo, over 20 Yellow Fin Tuna, a large Pompano and Cubera Snapper. The second day was much the same but add Broomtail Grouper, Roosterfish and a 80 pound amberjack caught trolling a Rapala Magnum near shore. Their final day included Roosterfish, Amberjack, Schooling Snapper, and Broomtail Grouper.
