Bill Woods from Lawrence, Kansas and his son Colin Woods from Houston, Texas, were our third fishing party in March 2006. Their first day was unproductive for baits, jigging and popping but they got into an excellent off shore tuna bite, trolling Rapalas. Our traditional baits (green jacks) were impossible to find so they used small snappers for bait on their final two days. Both baits and jigging proved productive for Broomtail Grouper, Amberjack & Pompano. John & Joyce Olivera from Miami were our fourth fishing guests in March. Fishing conditions change completely from the week before. The water was warm & clear, baits were hard to catch and unproductive, jigging was also unproductive. The Wahoo and Tuna were in thick so trolling and popping was the answer to a very productive visit. Our final guests in March were two father and son teams Butch and Ken Marshall plus Frank and Rob Higginbotham. Butch is from East Texas, Ken, Frank & Rob are from South Florida. The fishing Bite was very good with lots of bigger tuna every day along with Broomtail Grouper, Rockhind Groupers, Almaco Jacks, Corvinas, Roosterfish and a large variety of Snappers.
