New Boat Project - Alex Livingston and Billy Boughner have designed and are building this 33' Panga, in our play room at Mariato, Panama. The finished boat will consist of about forty 4' x 8' fiberglass sheets, consisting of mostly 2 rovings layered with 3 mats, laid on waxed Formica top tables. The stringers are glass covered PVC. The floor is built outside of the boat with a slight pre-stressed arch to add lateral strength. Presently there is no plan for bulkheads. The floor will lay 2-1/2' above the keel. The live well will be freeflowing through the hull and should hold about 75 gallons of water below the water line. The gas tank was formed off the hull and will have a 300 gallon capacity. This boat will have a center console with T-Top and hydraulic steered twin 105 HP Outboards. Wildman Alex will try to break this boat before it is finished and painted.
